FIRST ROBOTICS
Through a generous grant from the Kahlert Foundation, the Triangle Education Foundation, in partnership with Triangle Fraternity is honored to be one of the newest Alliance Partners with FIRST– For Inspiration & Recognition of Science &Technology — one of the largest and most successful organizations in the world dedicated to STEM education and careers. More than 480,000 K-12 students around the globe participate in FIRST’s programs!
SCHOLARSHIPS FOR FIRST ROBOTICS ALUMNI
Triangle Fraternity was born in the spring of 1907 in order to provide a social, educational, and professional resource for engineers, scientists, and architects while in pursuit of their careers in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Today, the Triangle Education Foundation is honored to continue this legacy by offering four (4) $2,500 scholarships for students of FIRST robotics as they seek continuing education in STEM areas. Requirements:

Must be a current member of a FIRST Robotics team

Must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative high school GPA (on a 4.0 scale)

Must be a current high school senior, planning on attending an accredited 4-year US educational institution in the fall of 2023

Must intend to pursue a major/concentration relating to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and/or Mathematics)

Applications are due May 31, 2024. Winners will be reviewed and selected by July 15, 2024, by which date the winners will be contacted via phone or email. The Triangle Education Foundation will award scholarships on the basis of holistic achievement and a demonstrated passion for STEM. Areas of the review will include academic accomplishments, community service & extracurricular activities, references, and a personal essay. Scholarships are awarded without regard to race, color, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation.

Preference will be given to students attending universities associated with a chapter of Triangle Fraternity.
